Bank to host 2nd art show

Metropolitan Commercial Bank invites the community to the opening night celebration for the bank’s second Bank on Art Showcase exhibit. 

This edition will feature paintings by local artists from the Great Neck Public Schools Community Education program. 

The event, which will include refreshments, will be held at the bank’s banking center located at 111 Great Neck Road in Great Neck Plaza, on May 24 at 7 p.m. The event is free of charge.

“We are proud to be a part of this wonderful community and to help support programs like the Great Neck Public Schools Community Education arts program,” said Mark DeFazio, President and CEO of Metropolitan Commercial Bank. “We specifically designed our Great Neck banking center for these types of events, and we look forward to making these incredibly talented Great Neck artists’ work accessible to the public. We encourage the whole community to join us on the evening of May 24th to meet the artists and enjoy their artwork.”

The exhibit will display 25 pieces of art. 

Artists featured in the showcase include Constance Blackman, Barbara Chin, Janet Dansbury, Amy Finkston, Barbara Flamm, Lois Hellman, Laurie Levine, Diane Lieberman, Charles Messite, Warren Mintz, Piret Mowlen, Stephanie Navon-Jacobson, Laura Porsch, Homa Rabbani, Mina Rabbani, Shelli Robiner-Ardizzone, Joanne Seitelman, Atsuko Ann Seki, Barbara Stone, Rosita Tenembaum, Renee Wasserman, Yoko Watanabe, and Mimi Wohlberg.

Musical accompaniment for the evening will be provided by Steve Belfer, musical accompanist at the Community Education program.

The current exhibition is scheduled to be on display through July 2016.
