Chris ‘Mott’ Roach to play in Amityville

The Island Now

You may know comedian, actor and writer Chris Roach as lovable friend “Mott” opposite Kevin James in the CBS television sitcom “Kevin Can Wait.”

Or perhaps you’ve seen him out on the road in one of his many stand-up performances throughout the U.S.

Now he is set to step foot onto a new stage in the coming months — as guitarist of the rock/metal outfit, Ridgehaven

The band is set to perform on Thursday, Aug. 17 at Revolution Bar & Music Hall at 140 Merrick Road in Amityville.

Consisting of Chris Roach on guitar, the band is filled out by Joe Viola on vocals, Rob Maresca on drums, and Mike Warnken on bass.

With a hard-hitting, in-your-face sound that brings the best elements of heavy metal to the forefront, each member’s musicianship is immediately evident in their self-titled, debut EP due out in the coming months.

Ridgehaven brings their raucous tones and dark lyrics to near hallucinatory imagery, with a live show sure to impress even the most die-hard rockers.

With Roach’s driving, dark guitar chops at the forefront, it shows a new side to the funnyman everyone’s grown to love and shines light on his versatility as a performer both on screen and the music stage.
