The Island Today: Artists of all ages in Festival of Arts

On March 28, the Gold Coast Arts Center hosted the opening reception for its annual Festival of the Arts Art Exhibit, which will be on view through the month of April at the Art Center’s gallery at 113 Middle Neck Road in Great Neck.

The Festival of the Arts takes place each spring and is a celebration of the achievements of hundreds of the center’s visual and performing arts students.

The art exhibit features over 450 pieces from the talented visual artists from ages four to adult who are students at the Gold Coast Arts Center & School for the Arts.

Included in the exhibit is watercolor, collage, acrylic paintings, ceramics, and crafts.

The exhibit is a great opportunity for visitors to see the work, discuss art and education with the talented faculty of artists at the Center, and spotlight the work of all of the visual arts and ceramics arts students at the Gold Coast Arts Center.
