The Island Today: Plucking strings on Westbury stage: Travis Tritt bringing guitar skills, renowned country tunes to NYCB Theater on April 6

Grammy award-winning artist Travis Tritt is scheduled to perform at NYCB Theatre at Westbury on April 6.

The performance is one of the many stops on Tritt’s stateside tour, which has received rave reviews from concertgoers and critics alike.

Doors open at 7 p.m., with Tritt taking the stage at 8 to perform a set list comprised of some of his biggest hits.

Tickets range from $39.50 to $99.50 and are available for purchase on Ticketmaster.com.

More than 25 years after he launched his music career, the Southern-rock influenced artist continues to stay true and relevant to country music fans across the globe.

In November 2016, Tritt released a live DVD and 2-disc CD set, “A Man and His Guitar – Live From The Franklin Theatre,” which is now available for purchase through major digital retailers, TravisTritt.com and at various stops throughout Tritt’s tour.

The much-anticipated release, shot and recorded at the historic Franklin Theatre in Franklin, Tennessee, spotlights Tritt’s distinctively soulful voice and his exceptional guitar prowess in an intimate theater setting.
