Little chefs will use real cooking tools (with some help from adults) as they make easy, yummy, kid-friendly snacks from start to finish.   As they make their treat, children gain experience measuring ingredients, following directions and building their vocabulary. This week the kids will make Oreo Cheesecake Cookies. Allergy Note: Ingredients contain wheat, dairy and soy. Fee: $5 with museum admission, $4 LICM members.

Irish Dancers

Children’s Program: Irish Dancers

Sunday, March 5 at 1 p.m.
Children of all ages will enjoy a performance of Irish dancing by teachers and students from the Mulvihill-Lynch Studio of Irish Dance, known internationally as champions on the competitive circuit. The award-winning dancers will also interact with children in the audience, answering questions and teaching a few Irish dance steps. Find out if Irish dance is in your future. Hear fascinating history about the costumes and dances. After the show, participants may wish to have their face painted by Miss Carin or take a guided tour of the Walt Whitman Birthplace.
