This Tony Award-winning 1957 Broadway musical tells the story of a fast-talking traveling salesman, who cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band and plans to skip town with the loot, but winds up falling for the town librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. The score is filled with the wonderful tunes, “76 Trombones,” “Being In Love,” “Till There Was You,” “Wells Fargo Wagon,” and the showstopper, “You Got Trouble.” Presented by The Community Synagogue.  Regular tickets: $28; Premium seats: $44.

Lesley Frowick, guest curator of the museum’s current exhibit on display, Halston Style, as well as the niece and confidant of Roy Halston Frowick, discusses the life and career of the famed American designer who came to be known by the distinctive, self-styled name, Halston. Frowick will sign her new book, “Halston: Inventing American Fashion.” Books are available at the museum store and must be purchased there for signing.

”Taste of Long Island” Tolerance Benefit & Silent Auction
