Director and producer Sarah Martin will premiere her new film, “Nefarious,” at the historic Bellmore Movies and Showplace on Friday, April 21 at 9:30 p.m.

The 90-minute feature debut will get the full Hollywood treatment as it is preceded by a red carpet with photographers and over $800 in raffle basket prizes in the lobby.

“Nefarious,” a horror thriller, tells the story of the Tanner family.

After the passing of their father, the Tanners set off for fresh start in the countryside.

Logan (Avery Zangri) is the oldest child, an avid filmmaker and adventurer.

Younger sibling Jake (Alex Louis) is witty, but still finding his way.

Thanks to their loving, trusting, and endearing mother (Jamie Ragusa), they always have a great support system and balance to the home.

But things start to get strange when they discover parts of their new farmhouse’s dark past.

They soon uncover the tale of a family who once lived there and the chilling events that happened to them.

The story becomes a mystery as to who the culprit is behind all of the misfortune that besets the house’s inhabitants.

Is it the strange old lady next door?

Or could it be someone else closer to home?

On their trail of discovery, things aren’t always what they appear to be as the two brothers soon learn: “Don’t tell mother!”

Martin was born and raised on the south shore of Long Island.

Her passion for the arts drove her to take charge behind the camera.

Currently she’s the CEO and Founder of Silent Envy Productions, which will be producing several feature film projects over the next few years.

When she’s not behind the camera, she is acting in front of the camera.

This year she will be co-starring with Ed Asner and Joan Jett in “Dinosaur.”

Bellmore Movies is located at 222 Pettit Ave. in Bellmore.

A post-party will take place after the screening next door at The Third Rail.
