L.I. Festival of Trees at Cradle of Aviation

The 27th Annual Long Island Festival of Trees will be held from Friday, Nov. 25 to Sunday, Nov. 27 at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City.

Cost for adults are $15 per person and children age two to 12 are $10.  Children age two and under are admitted free.

The Festival of Trees is a holiday tradition families, and features an array of designer-decorated trees and gingerbread village, along with continuous live entertainment, Santa, vendor marketplace, children’s activities, according to a press release from the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, Inc.

The trees are all for sale and, in addition, there will be 300 two-and-a-half ft. trees in different themes and wreaths, as well as swags for sale, with all the proceeds going to Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, Inc.

Star Wars will be the theme on Saturday, with the group from the 501st Legion and Empire City Garrison mingling with guests from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

There will be continuous entertainment including many talented dance and choral groups. 

The first place and second place winners from the “Nassau Has Talent,” Christelle Pascal of Baldwin and Nicolette Kosowski of Lynbrook will open up the entertainment on Friday at 11 am. 

On Saturday, Nassau Dance Force from Seaford, Ella Marie Dance from Hicksville, Step by Step from Farmingdale, Dance Dimensions from Hicksville and North Shore Studio from Huntington Station will perform.  

The KG Group and Leggz Ltd. will be back on Saturday as well, and Sunday will be devoted to Irish celebration, with the “Show Stompin” Irish dance group from Rockville Centre, the Gerry Finley Band and the Greek Bagpipe band.

Cost includes entry to the Festival and Cradle of Aviation Museum and the Junior Jet Club.
