Take a ride to ‘Winter Wonderland’ at garden

Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the town board recently announced their Winter Wonderland Train and Light Show from Sunday, Dec. 18 to Thursday, Dec. 22 inside the historic Clark House at Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson. 
Residents are invited to visit the Clark House to enjoy the celebration, which will feature a holiday train show with a steam locomotive donated by Willis Hobbies and holiday lights in the garden, according to a press release from Clark Botanic Garden.
In addition, there will be family-friendly activities throughout the week including a large ride-on train for children, holiday storytelling, crafts and stargazing.
On Sunday, Dec. 18 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., there will be holiday festivities including a ride-on train, hot chocolate, storytelling, arts and crafts, free photo booth and light displays. 
Monday, Dec. 18 will be open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature short theatrical readings by the fire.
Tuesday, Dec. 20 will have story telling with Williston Park Library at the Clark House from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, Dec. 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., there will be star gazing in the garden to mark the winter solstice. 
The final night will be a kid’s dance party featuring DJ Kev Dee on Thursday, Dec. 22.  The event will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will have a visit from Santa.
 “This year’s Winter Wonderland is destined to be a family friendly hit with so many great new activities and still featuring some old favorites,” Bosworth said.
The event is free of charge to residents.
