Temple Emanuel to host Robert Klein

The fifth season of Stephen C. Widom Cultural Arts at Temple Emanuel continues on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. with comedian Robert Klein and special guest Nicolas King singing “The American Songbook.”
Robert Klein has entertained audiences for more than 40 years, according to a press release from Temple Emanuel.
Klein was nominated twice for Grammy Awards for  his albums “Child of the Fifties” and “Mind Over Matter.” 
He also received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor, and won a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for his performance in the Neil Simon musical “They’re Playing Our Song.”
Most recently, he Klein stars as Laura Diamond’s father Leo on NBC’s “The Mysteries of Laura.”  
He is also the subject of a new documentary, “Robert Klein: Still Can’t Stop His Leg,” for the Weinstein Company, which is scheduled for release in late 2016 .
King performed as Liza Minelli’s opening act from 2002 to 2012. 
He received a Grammy consideration for his latest album, “Nineteen,” with jazz musician Mike Renzi.
Following the show, there will be refreshments.
