Temple Sinai of Roslyn is holding a concert entitled “World Classic Jewels” on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 4 p.m.
The concert features soprano Hanna Golodinskii, pianist Oxana Mikhailoff and includes “Beloved Arias” by Puccini, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, and Chopin.
Golodinskii is a Ukrainian-American soprano whose repertoire includes the Ukrainian National Academy Opera Theatre, according to a press release from Temple Sinai of Roslyn.
She received her master’s degree as an opera solo performer and chamber solo performer in 2004 from the National Music Academy of Ukraine.
Hanna has performed on the stages of Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Riverside Church in New York City, and other venues.
Mikhailoff is an active concert pianist, a music series director, and heads up her own metropolitan based teaching studio comprised of adults, children and seniors.
She is a winner of 13 international competition prizes including the Martha Argerich International Piano Competition in Buenos-Aires.
Mikhailoff had her Carnegie Hall debut in 1999 followed by an all Chopin recital dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the composer’s death.
She appears regularly on the East Coast playing solo and chamber music concerts.
Wine and cheese will be served at a reception following the concert. Cost is $10 for Temple Sinai Members, and $18 for Non-Members.
