Senior Chat

Fridays, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Come join the seniors of the community every Friday morning at 10 a.m. Participate or just listen to casual discussions on special interests, concerns and whatever happens to come up.

 

Movies  

Tuesdays and Fridays, 2:30 p.m., in the Elmont Library Theatre

Enjoy some of the most recent movies as well as beloved classics. Check out our website for movie listings or come into the Library for our month flyer.

Movies are free and open to the public. No tickets or registration required.

 

Library Board Meeting

Thursday, Dec. 19, 7 p.m.

The public is invited to attend the Elmont Public Library Board of Trustees’ regular meeting at 700 Hempstead Tpke., Elmont. The public portion of the meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. The agenda calls for the Board to meet in Executive Session at 7 p.m.

Smart Home Products are the newest technology to hit mainstream. Learn about their capabilities and available products and your options. Included will be Smart Home Speakers, Alexa, Google Home, Google Assistant, Siri, Ring and Nest. Also learn about their securities and if they are truly listening to you.

 

Empire Driver Safety Program

Monday, Jan. 13 and Tuesday, Jan. 14, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

(In-person or online registration begins Dec. 30)

This program is sponsored by the Empire Safety Council. Participants must attend both classes to complete this six-hour Defensive Driving Course. Receive ten percent off Collision and Auto Liability/PIP rates on your auto insurance. There is a $28 fee payable to the Empire Safety Council (check or money order please) for these classes. Registration is required. Limited class size.
