Noren not running for re-election

Village of Thomaston Trustee Gary Noren will not run for re-election in the March elections, village officials said.

Noren, vice president of sales for Outerstuff LLC, a sports apparel company, has served on the board for 16 years.

He said in 2015 that he would not seek another term after the completion of the Long Island Rail Road’s project at the Colonial Road Bridge in Thomaston.

Berton Weston has filed to run for Noren’s seat and will run unopposed.

Mayor Steven Weinberg and Trustee Jill Monoson have also filed to run for re-election.

Both are running unopposed.

Elections will be held on Tuesday, March 21, from noon to 9 p.m. at Village Hall at 100 E. Shore Road in Great Neck.

Four board trustees in the Village of Saddle Rock have filed to run for re-election next month.

Mayor Dan Levy, Deputy Mayor David Schwartz and Trustees Julia Gavriel and Mark Collins are all running unopposed.

Elections will be held on March 21 from noon to 9 p.m. at Village Hall at 18 Masefield Way.

Village of Russell Gardens Mayor Steven Kirschner and Trustees Martin Adickman and Jane Krakauer have all filed to run and are not being opposed for re-election.

Elections will be held on March 21 from noon to 9 p.m. at Village Hall at 6 Train Drive in Great Neck.

Trustees Alina Hendler and Darren Kaplan have filed to run. Both are running unopposed for re-election in the Village of Kensington.

Elections will be held on March 21 from noon to 9 p.m. at Village Hall at 2 Nassau Drive in Great Neck.

Trustees Gerald Schneiderman and Lawrence Katz are running unopposed for re-election to two-year terms in the Village of Great Neck Plaza.

Elections will be held on March 21 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Village Hall at 2 Gussack Plaza in Great Neck.

Village of Great Neck Estates Mayor William D. Warner and Trustees Jerffrey Farkas and Ira V. Ganzfried have all filed to run for re-election.

They are running unopposed for a two-year term.

Village Justice David I. Schaffer has filed to run. He is running unopposed for a four-year term.

Elections will be held on March 21 from noon to 9 p.m. at Village Hall at 4 Gateway Drive in Great Neck.
