PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that sealed bids for ‘Window Masonry Replacement and Sitework to Various Schools’ in the Great Neck Union Free School District will be received by the Board of Education, Great Neck Union Free School District, on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Administrative Office where they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following contract:

GREAT NECK SOUTH MIDDLE SCHOOL (1638 B1) RICHARD S. SHERMAN NORTH MS (1638 C1)

Bids mailed must be in receipt by the School District prior to the time indicated for bid opening.

Complete sets of Bidding Documents, drawings and specifications, may be obtained from Rev Ventures, Inc., 330 Route 17A, Goshen, NY 10924, Tel.: (845) 651 3845, upon depositing the sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each combined set of documents. Checks or money orders shall be made payable to Great Neck Union Free School District. Plan deposit is refundable in accordance with the terms in the Instructions to Bidders to all submitting bids. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs.

Any person or corporation duly submitting a proposal accompanied by a bid security in accordance with the requirements of the Information for Bidders will receive his deposit in full PROVIDED the Drawings and Specifications are returned IN GOOD CONDITION to the Architect and within thirty (30) days after the award of Contract or Contracts or the rejection of the bid.
Each Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or the proposals will be rejected within 60 days of the date of opening proposals, subject, however, to the discretionary right reserved by the Board of Education to waive any informalities, reject any or all proposals and to advertise for new proposals if, in its opinion, the best interest of the School District will thereby be promoted.
Each bidder must deposit with his Bid, a Bid Bond or certified check in an amount not less than 10% of the Bid.
No bidder shall withdraw his Bid within 60 days after the formal opening thereof. Thereafter, a bidder may withdraw his Bid only in writing and in advance of the actual award.
