Community Drive in Manhasset was closed in both directions early Monday morning after a vehicle collided with and downed a utility pole, Nassau County police said. The road was reopened later that afternoon.
There were no injuries in the accident, police said.
The crash occurred around 4:15 a.m., resulting in the closure of a half mile of the road running from Northern Boulevard to High Street, police said.
Cars could not traverse the road because the pole had fallen onto it, police said.
