Nassau County police released a photo Saturday of the man who snatched a woman’s purse in New Hyde Park last month.
The man is seen in the image sprinting with the purse he stole from a 55-year-old woman on the morning of Sunday, July 23.
He appears to be a black man wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and black shoes. The image was likely taken by a home surveillance camera, a police spokesman said.
The thief snatched the woman’s purse from behind as she was walking south on Central Boulevard and then ran away, police have said. He was last seen running south on New Hyde Park Road.
