Adelphi to celebrate Sinatra and Davis

The Island Now

The Adelphi University Performing Arts Center presents prominent entertainer Trevor McQueen and his band to celebrate the 100th birthday of Frank Sinatra and the 90th birthday of Sammy Davis Jr. on Friday, Dec. 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the AUPAC’s Concert Hall, 1 South Ave. in Garden City.

After several sold-out shows in New York City, McQueen brings his soulful, eclectic sensibility to music made famous by Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. in his latest show, Our Way.

McQueen is an artist living in New York City. He is an actor, singer and songwriter, comic, dancer and director.

A childhood spent in the theater established a solid foundation for a life as a creator of original work.  He holds a B.F.A. in Drama from the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Featuring Angelo Di Loreto (piano), Tim Basom (guitar), Jeff Koch (bass) and Philippe Lemm (drums), this swinging night of music is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the golden days of the Rat Pack, all while experiencing these classics in brand new ways.

Tickets are currently on sale and are priced at $35/30, with discounts available to seniors, students and alumni.
