All in the family for GN’s Biener Audi

Great Neck’s Biener Audi dealership has won an international service award from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences.

Biener Audi was the only car dealership to win the academy’s International Five Star Diamond Ward, company president and CEO Stanley Weinstock said.

“This award is awarded to the finest restaurants, the finest hotels and finest service organizations in the world,” Weinstock said.

Weinstock’s son Andrew, who is the company’s vice president, echoed his father’s sentiments.

“This award is given out all over the world for exemplary service and customer care,” Andrew Weinstock said. “It’s an honor.”

Stanley Weinstock, a former school teacher, married into the car enterprise and has expanded the family business from its roots with Pontiac and Nissan.

Weinstock opened the company’s Audi dealership 13 years ago, when the brand was still met with skepticism in the American market, he said.

“People thought we were crazy at the time, but it worked out well – so well that two years ago we completed this new facility when we added twice the space,” Weinstock said. “The whole facility is redone inside and out.”

The award was a reflection of the dealership’s experienced staff and emphasis on customer service, Andrew Weinstock said.

“We have just zeroed in on focusing on the customer,” Weinstock said. “Whatever the customer’s needs are or wants are, we try to do our best to exceed their expectations.”

The Weinstocks celebrated the award at a reception held at the dealership’s Northern Boulevard facility.

And they were met with more good news during their interview with the Great Neck News – Andrew Weinstock received a phone call announcing that his sister-in-law had just given birth to a daughter.

“Our slogan is ‘where our family treats your like family.’ It’s the more important thing we do,” Stanley Weinstock said. “Andrew is now the fourth generation in the business.”
