The Americana Manhasset’s Mens Market at Hirshleifers on Saturday will host legendary music photographer Henry Diltz to celebrate the opening of its new gallery space and continued partnership with the Morrison Hotel Gallery, which commissions fine art music photography.

Diltz, who photographed more than 400 album covers including Crosby Stills & Nash’s self-titled debut and the Doors’ “Morrison Hotel,” will have his photography on display and sign copies of his latest book “Unpainted Faces” from 1-3 p.m.

Morrison Hotel Gallery first commissioned music photography at the Mens Market last year and in late April showcased the work of Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Graham Nash as part of the “Visual Harmony” exhibit.

More than 40 photographs will now be featured for sale in the store’s new gallery space, Morrison Hotel Gallery officials said.

“It is so important to our gallery in terms of high-end, luxury branding and exposing our roster of iconic photographers to a new audience,” said Peter Blachley, a former record executive who co-founded the Morrison Hotel Gallery with Diltz and music retail professional Richard Horowitz, in a statement. “The Mens Market at Hirshleifers is one of the best retail concepts we’ve seen for our business – they are experts in presenting high-quality products and providing high-quality service – we couldn’t have found a better fit for the photographic gems created by the A-list of fine art music photographers we represent.”

Morrison Hotel Gallery represents 90 music photographers and their archives, encompassing jazz, blues and rock images spanning several generations, including contemporary acts, according to a news release.

The gallery also features an online archive with more than 100,000 images searchable by photographer, artist or concert.

With the Mens Market at Hirshleifers, the Morrison Hotel Gallery now has four locations, joining the Prince Street site in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood and at the Dream Hotel in the Meatpacking District as well as at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood.
