The New Hyde Park BU10 Barca Lions competed and won 4-1 against the Jericho Arsenal team on Saturday, Oct 13.
At the end of the first half the score was tied 0-0 with three saves made by goalie Giuseppe Seidita.
During the second half, the Barca Lions were on fire and scored four goals: Senan Price (assisted by Thomas Stec), Aidan Tice (assisted by Senan Price), Stephen Perno (assisted by Anthony Mangiaracina) and once again, Aidan Tice (assisted by Thomas Stec).
Giuseppe was awesome and made four spectacular saves in the second half.
On the following Saturday, Oct 20, the NHP Barca Lions team played against a tough Uniondale Pitbulls team.
Despite three saves by Andrew Liu and 3 saves by Giuseppe Seidita, the Lions were down 0–1 at the half.
During the second half, the Barca Lions created some excitement and tied the game with a goal by Stephen Perno assisted by Demetris Panouis.
Towards the end of the second half, Aidan Tice scored the second goal for the Barca Lions for a 2-1 victory.
Goalie Giuseppe Seidita made one save.
It was a fine showing for the Barca Lions. Great job boys!
