The “Yes We Can” Community Center will be hosting a trio of basketball leagues for boys and girls and men and women this summer.
There will be three leagues: a men’s adult league, a high school basketball league and a league for children ages 7 to 12, all played in the center’s state-of-the-art gymnasium featuring two NBA-sized basketball courts.
2014 Developmental Saturday Basketball League – Ages 7 to 12
Registration Deadline: July 1
Player Draft: July 12
League Starts: July 19
Game Times: 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m.
Fee (per participant): $60
2014 Summer Elite 8 – High School Basketball League
12 players per team, participants are asked to bring their own uniform
League Starts: July 21
Entry Fee: $250
Officials’ Fee (per game): $40
All payments must be received by the first game.
2014 Men’s League
12-man roster, team trophies for champions
League Starts: July 7
League Fee: $300
Officials’ Fee (per game): $45
All payments must be received by the first game.
The state-of-the-art 60,000 square foot “Yes We Can” Community Center is located at 141 Garden Street in Westbury. Other features of the center include a fitness center, computer rooms, community meeting rooms, senior and teen lounges and more.
