Bosworth keeps public in loop

The Island Now

This coming Election Day is an opportunity to vote for Judi Bosworth, a Nassau County legislator who has excelled in all aspects of her position. Legislator Bosworth utilizes a rapid response to answer resident’s questions, advocates effectively for our community and is fiscally prudent.

The project that epitomizes many of her strengths is the dredging and restoration of Udall’s Pond. In 2007, Ms. Bosworth began to pursue a bipartisan effort to fund this project, then she secured DEC permits and necessary plans.

Next came meetings with residents to educate them about dredging: what type of equipment, impact on the wildlife, noise level, removal of sediment.

Everything was explained and resident’s concerns regarding the proposed boardwalk were addressed. Despite numerous obstacles, Legislator Bosworth stayed focused on moving the project forward.

Now through her efforts, Udall’s Pond will once again begin to function as a watershed protectorate, and a drainage facility. Ms. Bosworth knows that protecting the environment and the health of the community is good government.

Vote for Judi Bosworth on Nov. 8.
