Brownie Troop 1712 visited the Friendly’s restaurant in Mineola on Wednesday, Nov. 6. They practiced decision making skills and people skills during this trip. Some troop members had successfully run their own Mags and Munchies sale business and the troop was thrilled to see how a real food service business works. As part of this “Scoop up a Patch” restaurant tour, the troop was taken through the kitchen and saw the behind-the-scenes operation of the restaurant. The Brownies favorite parts of this trip included filling out their own ice cream order slips, and going in both the walk-in freezer and walk-in refrigerator.
