Candidates to address ideas for county’s future

For its monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 12, Reach Out America has invited the  candidates in the Democratic primary for county executive and county comptroller to present their vision for the future of Nassau County. 

The meeting will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock, 48 Shelter Rock Road in Manhasset a 2 p.m. 

“An enlightened constituency is an essential component of a functioning Democracy,” said Reach Out America’s co-chair Naomi Feldheim.

To that end the invitation has gone out to Tom Suozzi, Adam Haber, Howard Weitzman and Wayne Wink to address the topic. It will be a special opportunity to listen to and question the candidates. All are invited.

Reach Out America is a grassroots organization whose purpose is to work with others in social and political action, to safeguard our Constitutional Rights and to find peaceful solutions to world problems. ROA’s regular meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. All are invited. 

Speakers will begin at 2 p.m. 

Refreshments will be served, too.
