Carbaret artist to perform at temple

The Island Now

Singer/songwriter Lois Morton, a veteran cabaret artist who has regularly performed at venues as Manhattan’s Don’t Tell Mama, presents an evening of humorous songs and commentary about life, love and living in today’s world at Glen Cove’s Congregation Tifereth Israel on Saturday, Nov. 2

A 2012 Manhattan Association of Cabarets nominee, Lois Morton is prized by New York and Long Island audiences for her take on the foibles of modern day life. Morton is an artist steeped in the traditions of international music, especially the songs of Edith Piaf. Locally, she’s performed at Acoustic Long Island and the Huntington Folk Music Society.

The show begins at 8 p.m. and a dessert-wine-coffee party will follow the show. Seating for CTI’s Dessert Cabaret starring Lois Morton is cabaret style and strictly limited. Early reservations are strongly suggested. Tickets are $25 reserved in advance. If available, tickets at the door will be $30.
