Comedian Bill Burr to play Paramount

The Island Now

Comedian Bill Burr will be performing two shows at The Paramount in Huntington this Sunday, Jan. 24 at 7 and 10 p.m. The shows were announced late last week, giving Long Islanders little time to prepare for the coming of perhaps the hottest funny man working today.

Hot off his sold out Madison Square Garden show, Burr has been a distinctive and hilarious voice in the ever-changing entertainment world.

Having first gained notoriety for his recurring role on the second season of “Chappelle’s Show,” Burr soon developed his own comedic style making him a regular with Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Fallon. Bill went on to create his animated Netflix series “F is For Family” featuring Bill, Laura Dern and Justin Long as the Murphy Family.

Burr has starred alongside Mark Wahlberg and Will Farrell in “Daddy’s Home” and can be recognized for his work in “The Heat” featuring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, “Stand Up Guys” starring Al Pacino and Christopher Walken and “Date Night” alongside Steve Carell and Tina Fey.

On and off the big screen, he continues to master his craft gaining critics attention with his recurring role as Kuby on the hit AMC-TV show, “Breaking Bad” and Comedy Central show “Kroll Show.”

Burr premiered his fourth hour-long special, “I’m Sorry You Feel That Way,” on Netflix last month and released the vinyl album, “Live At Andrew’s House,” in September.

While Burr continues to follow script, it’s his off-the-cut podcasts, “Bill’s Monday Morning Podcast,” that has become a fan favorite.

Tickets for Bill Burr can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com, charge-by-phone @ 800-745-3000 or The Paramount Box Office, open daily from 12 to 6 p.m.
