I totally reject the nasty inflammatory and false comments about me from Mr. Uttaro. My comments dealt with education and have nothing to do with racism. It is the lack of education that can cause misunderstanding in a community. I believe he should enroll in a few nigh classes and re-educate himself as he suggested I do.
I hope he reconsiders his comment and comes to realize that all of us live on a tiny planet, and problems can be resolved by understanding and building common ground between the parties involved in a situation.
It is interesting to point out that I have not seen a single resident of the village of Mineola writing a negative letter concerning the Cross Street School lease.
It is a sad commentary that a letter I wrote to reduce passion can easily be misinterpreted and distorted.
