A former aide at the Adults & Children with learning and Developmental Disabilities home in Thomaston was arrested Tuesday for allegedly striking an elderly patient in the face, Nassau County Police said.

Randolp Bien-Aime, 26, of Queens, was due to be arraigned Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead on charges of endangering the welfare of a 71-year-old woman, police said.

The incident took place sometime in early June, police said, while Bien-Aime was employed at the facility.
