Great Neck North Middle School’s Grade 7 and 8 Choral and Chamber Concert will take place on Wednesday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m., in the school auditorium at 77 Polo Road. Featured will be the Seventh- and Eighth-Chorus, and the North Middle Chamber Musicians.
The chamber portion of the concert will feature selections by Bach, Mozart, and Greg Camp. Two piano trios will perform Kreisler’s “Miniature Viennese March,” and Mozart’s “Trio No. 1, First Movement.” There will also be a violin duet performing Vivaldi’s “Concerto in A Minor.” The Chamber students are under the direction of music teacher Jacquelyn Tomlet.
The Seventh- and Eighth-Grade Chorus will be performing Bruno Mars’ “Count on Me;” a traditional spiritual piece, “Peace Like A River;” Roger Emerson’s arrangement of “Africa;” and “Seasons of Love,” from the Broadway musical, “Rent.” The Chorus will be under the direction of music teacher Arielle Cooperman.
