Good Beginnings receives grant

North Shore Child and Family Guidance Center recently received a grant of $7,500 from the BJ’s Charitable Foundation for the Guidance Center’s Good Beginnings for Babies Program. 

Good Beginnings for Babies offers support, counseling, advocacy and education for pregnant and parenting teens. 

The program is housed at The Leeds Place-Serving Young People, the Guidance Center’s Westbury location. Services are offered in both English and Spanish.

The mission of North Shore Child and Family Guidance Center Guidance Center is to restore and strengthen the emotional well-being of children and families. The Guidance Center leads the way in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, training, parent education and advocacy. Offices are located in Roslyn Heights, Westbury and Manhasset.

BJ’s Charitable Foundation was established with the mission to enrich every community BJ’s Wholesale Clubs serve. 

The Foundation supports nonprofit organizations that primarily benefit the underprivileged in the area of basic needs (hunger prevention, self-sufficiency, education and health).
