A Great Neck plastic surgeon was named to New York magazine’s “Best Doctors” guide last week, the 18th consecutive year he has been included on the list.
Dr. Lyle Leipziger was featured in the magazine’s guide as a top plastic surgeon in the state.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to be among the physicians chosen for this guide,” Leipziger said in a statement. “It is especially gratifying to be named 18 years in a row, which I believe indicates that my staff and I are consistently achieving our goal of providing the highest quality of care.”
The “Best Doctors” issue of New York magazine is an annual guide that identifies top physicians in New York State.
According to the magazine, those featured in the guide are selected based on a survey taken by other doctors and takes into account professional qualifications, reputation and patient care skills.
Leipziger practices at 900 Northern Blvd. in Great Neck and specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face and eyes, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, liposuction and body contouring and nonsurgical facial rejuvenation, according to his website.
He graduated from Johns Hopkins University with Phi Beta Kappa honors and received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College.
Leipziger completed his residency in plastic surgery at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center.
After completing his residency, he was awarded a fellowship in craniofacial and microvascular surgery at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institute.
Leipziger currently serves as chief of the division of plastic and reconstructive surgery at both North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, according to his website.
Leipziger has been listed in Castle Connolly’s medical guide, “America’s Top Doctors,” which highlights physicians who are in the top one percent of specialists across the country, according to Castle Connolly.
He has also appeared in various publications and television shows.
According to a news release, Leipziger has appeared in The New York Times, CBS News, WNBC News, ABC Eyewitness News, Fox News and Newsday, commenting on plastic surgery.
