A week after suffering its first loss at Port Washington, the Roslyn football team bounced back in a big way, beating Great Neck North, 26-9, in Nassau Conference V Saturday at home. 

Chris Snipes rushed for 102 yards, including a 5-yard touchdown in the first quarter, on 17 carries and Alex Epprecht had seven carries for 100 yards and had a 62-yard touchdown in the third quarter to put the Bulldogs in front, 26-0. 

Adam Combs only threw four passes, but two were for touchdowns, a 27-yard TD pass to Isaiah Hunter and a 40-yard score to Epprecht. 

Defensively, Danny Gould had nine tackles, Snipes had a sack and Carlos Brown added a fumble recovery for Roslyn, which improved to 6-1. 

Friends Academy 62, Great Neck South 36: Tyrone Perkins rushed for 228 yards and four touchdowns, Eli Rechler and Jalijah Daniels each rushed for a pair of touchdowns to guide Friends (4-3) in Nassau V Saturday. Eitan Agagi had a 30-yard touchdown reception and a 48-yard touchdown reception for Great Neck South, which fell to 0-7. 

Mineola 33, Clarke 14: Vinny Bieniek threw for 183 yards and three touchdowns and had 15 carries for 65 yards and a score as Mineola (4-3) rallied from an early deficit to beat Clarke in Nassau IV Saturday at home. Brian Smith had three receptions for 63 yards and two touchdowns and Peter McCormack had a 33-yard touchdown reception for Mineola, which plays at Seaford Friday at 7 p.m.

Carle Place/Wheatley 33, Cold Spring Harbor 14: Andrew Hastings was 9-of-12 for 138 yards and two touchdowns, both to Luke Serio, and he also had 10 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown to pace Carle Place/Wheatley (4-3) in Nassau IV Friday. Lucas Golon had 15 carries for 103 yards and a touchdown and Luis Costa had a 26-yard TD for Carle Place/Wheatley, which plays at Clarke Saturday at 1 p.m. 

Valley Stream South 47, Manhasset 20: Stefawn James threw just four passes, but three were for touchdowns to Jesse Blouin to lead Valley Stream South (2-5) in Nassau III Saturday at home. Tommy Duran threw touchdown passes to Tiquan Thomas and James Ranieri, while Thomas also rushed for a score for Manhasset (1-6), which hosts Floral Park Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Division 41, New Hyde Park 17: Fred Gray rushed for 304 yards and two touchdowns, while Rene Soriano rushed for a pair of scores and Dylan Gruber connected with Aaron Gerner for a 3-yard TD pass to lead Division (3-4) in Nassau III Friday. Tom Kemmet threw two touchdown passes for New Hyde Park (0-7), which plays at Hewlett Friday night. 

Calhoun 40, Herricks 7: Thomas Fitzsimmons rushed for 158 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while twin brother Anthony had two TD runs and a 24-yard touchdown reception to lead Calhoun (2-5) in Nassau II Saturday. Chris Grau connected with Mark Marciano for a 2-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter for Herricks (1-6), which hosts Mepham Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

St. Anthony’s 38, Chaminade 10: Jordan Gowins rushed for 185 yards and a pair of touchdowns, Greg Galligan was 13-of-15 for 144 yards, including a 4-yard TD pass to Naim Jones, who added a rushing score to lead St. Anthony’s (7-1, 7-0) in a rematch of last year’s CHSFL Class AAA final Friday night in South Huntington. Sean Cerrone was 9-of-22 for 135 yards, including a 23-yard touchdown pass to John Tigh for Chaminade (7-1, 6-1), which takes on Xavier Friday at 7 p.m.
