The New York Islanders-sponsored Williston Park Little League baseball team went undefeated in the playoffs to take the Minors 10U Championship on Friday, June 15. The team came back from a 6-5 deficit in the last inning against the Johns Variety sponsored team to win 7-6 and clinch the title.
Justin Desiderio delivered the game winning hit driving in two runs for the win.
The team received great pitching performances in the playoffs from William McCreery, Sean Hembach, Brandon Aguiar and Dylan Haase, Cary Novick and Connor McCreery handled the catching duties.
Michael Ciccone, William Beatty, Benjamin Cohen, Lawson Everitt, Sean Pecora and Aaron Cuascut all played significant roles to help the team capture Williston Park’s Minors 2012 season championship.
The team’s coaches are Michael Ciccone, Lisa Stager, Michael Beatty and Marcus Cuasat and they were all very proud of the boys effort and were happy with the way the team never gave up.
