I urge my fellow residents in the Town of North Hempstead’s 4th District to vote for Anna Kaplan for town council on Nov. 8.
I have known Anna for many years, first as a friend, and more recently as a fellow trustee of the Great Neck Library District. Anna is not afraid of challenges, and she is willing to listen to many different opinions.
Because Anna conducts herself with grace and dignity, people sometimes underestimate her.
Some of Anna’s opponents have tried to portray her as a likely “rubber stamp” for Supervisor Kaiman – those people clearly don’t know the Anna Kaplan I know. In the end, Anna will do what she thinks is best for her constituents, will not concern herself with other people’s opinions, and will be completely independent in her thoughts and actions.
