Krug Insurance defeated William Gross Construction 15-4 in a New Hyde Park Little League Girls Majors game. Nicole Kuzler pitched a complete game one-hitter while striking out nine batters. Kuzler helped the offense with a long grand slam homerun in the 6th inning.
Katie Tubridy singled and scored three runs for Krug. Maggie Donnelly singled in the first run of the game and scored twice. Brianna Castro singled and scored twice for Krug as well.
Irene Krische was on base three times and scored a run. Hannah Arkin and Kaitlyn Milinic each made terrific defensive plays in the field.
Lauren Murphy pitched a scoreless inning of relief for William Gross. Corinne McCoy had the only hit for William Gross, a two-run line-drive single in the first inning. Melissa Ward caught a great game for William Gross picking off two base runners while scoring two runs.
