Kornrich wins S. High Dartmouth award

Allison Kornrich is Great Neck South High School’s 2012–13 recipient of the Dartmouth College Book Award. The award, sponsored by Dartmouth College and the Dartmouth Club of Long Island is, “designed to encourage intellectual excellence and to recognize the achievement of a third-year secondary school student.” The recipient should “be a junior in approximately the top five percent of his or her class, who has demonstrated intellectual leadership and has made a positive contribution to the extracurricular life of the school.” 

The wward is the book, “Theodor SUESS Geisel,” by Donald E. Pease, a Dartmouth professor. The book focuses on one of Dartmouth’s famous graduates – Dr. Suess.
