The New Hyde Park Lady Jaguars U10 Travel team took 2nd place in the North Hempstead Cup held over Columbus Day weekend.
After a hard fought 6-3 victory over the North Babylon Pride, the girls held on for a 2-1 win over the East Meadow Sky Blue.
After dropping a 0-3 decision to Albertson, the championship went to a tiebreaker with our girls winning 2nd place.
Goals were scored by Vriside Bouzos, Mary Tsahas, and Lily Becker with assists by Caitlin McDonough, Aisling McGrath, and Sammy Corrigan.
The Jags defensive team of Tess Cash, Jillian Fager, and Andrea Bouzos did a fantastic job. Nora Higgins and Linda Artusa were great in the goal.
