Lewd acts arrest in Kensington

Nassau County Police have arrested a Port Washington man for alleged lewd acts directed at Kensington residents in September.

Noor El Tahawy, 24, of Revere Road was charged with two counts of public lewdness for alleged acts of sexual exhibitionism on Sept. 21.

Tahawhy is accused of driving up to the Arleigh Road residence of the first victim at 8:17 a.m., asking for directions and proceeding to point at his genitalia and perform what police described only as a “lewd act.”

Police arrested Tahawy without incident at his home after receiving a description from the first victim.

Following his arrest, Tahawhy confessed to another incident on North Drive later on Sept. 21, according to a police press release.

Tahawy was released on an appearance ticket and will appear at 1st District Court in Hempstead on Feb. 2.
