The Girl Scouts of Nassau County are hosting their first ever “Autumn Evening of Jazz” benefit to take place on Saturday Nov. 2. Tony Award winner and renowned Broadway singer and actress Lillias White will be headlining the event. The benefit’s proceeds will go directly towards the Financial Assistance and S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Programs.

“A valuable component to the success of the Financial Assistance and S.T.E.M. Programs is the financial support from the community. Funds raised from this event will ensure that any girl in Nassau County can become a Girl Scout regardless of her ability to afford registration and participation fees; and to support our robotics teams in preparation for local and national competitions,” noted Girl Scouts of Nassau County CEO Donna Ceravolo.

For the past 101 years, Girl Scouts has been providing young girls with various leadership opportunities that help to build their courage, confidence, and character. The “Autumn Evening of Jazz” provides the community with a unique evening of entertainment and fun while supporting two important programs.

The benefit will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Madison Theatre in Public Square at Molloy College. For more information regarding sponsorship opportunities contact Antoinette Agosta at agostaa@gsnc.org or visit the Girl Scouts of Nassau County website https://www.gsnc.org/jazz/index.asp

“Every dollar of support will directly benefit the Girls of Nassau County by helping them receive valuable education and confidence that will enable them to be the leaders of tomorrow,” Ceravolo said.
