A Long Beach man was arrested in Manhasset Sunday after Nassau County Police said he robbed the Dunkin Donuts store on Plandome Road and fled to a nearby motel.
Christian Wallace, 30, allegedly entered the Dunkin Donuts at 370 Plandome Road around 7:40 a.m. and handed the 38-year-old cashier a demand note and threatened him with a gun, police said. He received an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing.
Wallace was later located at The Royal Inn Motor Lodge at 1177 Northern Boulevard, where he was arrested without incident, police, said. The money was also recovered at the scene.
No injuries were reported at either the Dunkin Donuts or lodge.
Wallace faces a first-degree robbery charge. He was expected to be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
