Manhasset’s five villages are set to hold Board of Trustees elections on March 15, but early stages in the filing period have yet to show any challenge to incumbents.

The filing period for interested candidates began on Feb. 2 in each village.

In the Village of Munsey Park, the terms of Deputy Mayor John Lippman and Trustee Jennifer Noone are set to come to an end.

Village of Munsey Park Clerk Barbara Miller said she had not officially received filing petitions from either the incumbents or interested challengers.

Those interested in running are required to submit a petition with 60 resident signatures before Feb. 9 to officially run for a board seat.

Residents can cast their ballot at Village Hall at 1777 Northern Blvd.

The Village of Flower Hill will see races for its mayoral seat, three trustee seats and a Village Justice seat up for election.

Village Administrator Ronnie Shatzkamer said she had not received official filing petitions as of Tuesday from Mayor Elaine Phillips, trustees Randall Rosenbaum, Karen Reichenbach and Gary Lewandowski and acting Village Justice Dennis Reisman.

Shatzkamer said all seats were for two-year terms except for Reisman’s, which is a four-year term.

She also said she hadn’t heard of any talk from residents about challenging candidates.

Those interested in running are required to submit a petition with 50 resident signatures before Feb. 9 to officially run for a board seat.

Voting will take place at Village Hall at 1 Bonnie Heights Road from noon to 9 p.m.

In the Village of Plandome, the terms of Deputy Mayor Ray Herbert and Trustee Andrew Bartels are coming to an end.

Village Clerk-Treasurer Elizabeth Kaye said she received official petitions from Herbert and Bartels on Tuesday for re-election.

Those interested in running are required to submit a petition with 50 resident signatures before Feb. 9 to officially run for a board seat.

Voting will take place at Village Hall at 65 South Drive.

In the Village of Plandome Heights, the seats for Mayor Kenneth Riscica and trustees Silva Ferman, Alvin Solomon and Lynne Aloia are coming to an end.

Village Clerk-Treasurer Arlene Drucker said nobody had filed petitions to run as of Tuesday.

Those interested in running are required to submit a petition with 50 resident signatures before Feb. 9 to officially run for a board seat.

In the Village of Plandome Manor, the seats of trustees Tony DeSousa and Patricia O’Neill are set to end.

Village Clerk Randi Malman said while they had not filed their petitions, DeSousa and O’Neill picked up a petition to run on the same line.

Malman also said since they are running on the same ticket, they only needed to gather 35 resident signatures for the pair rather than the required 35 signatures per candidate.

Residents can cast their ballot at Village Hall at 55 Manhasset Ave.
