Manhasset woman charged in assault

A Roslyn Heights woman and a Manhasset woman were arrested in Great Neck last Wednesday after assaulting the Roslyn Heights woman’s boyfriend and stealing $500 worth of property from his home, police officials said.

According to police, 22-year-old Brittney Williams of 51 Linden Court in Roslyn Heights and her boyfriend began arguing at his Great Neck home at approximately 9:00 p.m.

Sometime after leaving, Williams met up with the other defendent, Latoya Garza, 25, of 42 High Court in Manhasset, as well as three other people who have not yet been arrested, and went back to the 27-year-old’s home around 9:45 p.m.

Upon arriving, the group allegedly assaulted him and stole $500 in earrings from the home, police said.

Police said the victim was taken to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset for treatment of injuries he sustained to his head and face, which included left eye pain and blurred vision.

Williams and Garza were each charged with second-degree assault, first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary, police said. 

They will be arraigned at 1st District Court in Hempstead.
