Manorhaven residents will enjoy a day of family fun while taking a ride back in time at the village’s street festival and classic car show on Saturday.

The festival will include free balloon sculptures with Annabelle the Clown, a face painting area, a petting zoo and food and vendors.

“This event is a great way to thank our residents for their support and offers them all the opportunity to mingle with friends, neighbors and other residents they don’t know,” Manorhaven Mayor Jim Avena said.

“This event really brings everyone together to have a great time on a Saturday afternoon.”

Avena said he’s looking forward to watching people enjoy themselves, especially the children.

“We have a lot of great activities, but most are geared towards kids,” he said. “Nothing beats a street fair in your own community.”

The classic car show will be held in the Manorhaven Nature Preserve and will feature more than 20 cars built before 1980.

Manorhaven Boulevard will be closed to traffic as well as local streets from Dunwood Road to Firwood Road between Manorhaven Boulevard and Cambridge Avenue.

“Because we have both Manorhaven Boulevard and the Nature Preserve to hold the event, there is plenty of space for all of the activities and classic car show,” Avena said.

The festival will take place Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. along Manorhaven Boulevard and near the Manorhaven Nature Preserve parking lot.
