Our three park district commissioners have been in office and served all of us well for many good years. It’s hard to imagine Ivar not being part of the triumvirate but Marty Markson will surely be able to fill his shoes.
Marty is already dedicated to the park district as chair of the open space committee. He and his committee put the peninsula property to good use by creating a dog walking area on part of the property. They are now looking at improving Water Mill and Ravine Parks.
He was the COO of a global electrical engineering company. As well, he analyzed work contracts and managed multi-million budgets in several businesses. He will protect the budget needs of our park district and not allow control to be jeopardized by those who would tear down what it has taken years to build.
