So, 7-Eleven is suing Mineola big time due to their request being denied for a store on Jericho Turnpike and Jay Court.
Allow me an analogy: A boy asks a girl for a date and she says no. She is not required to say why she said no. Similiarly, Mineola does not have to have a reason to say no. Mineola doesn’t want it period. Buzz off.
Mineola has to have consideration for the existing businesses. The Seacrest Diner around the corner, Starbuck one block east, the strip mall across the streety, Dunkin Donuts et al.
Virtually in sight west on Jericho and others. It is only a few blocks south to another 7-Eleven at Glen Cove Road and Westbury Avenue besides the “famed” 7-Eleven at Jericho and Mineola Boulevard.
Enough already.
Personally, I never go to 7-Eleven. I don’t as much as I like 7-Eleven. So there!
