A Glen Head woman was arrested and charged with second degree murder last Thursday for suffocating her new born baby, police said.
Sharon Seudat, 20, was found bleeding severely at her 4 Walnut St. apartment and transported to the hospital where it was determined she had recently given birth, police said.
Nassau police said the unresponsive newborn baby girl was located at the home.
The newborn was transported to an area hospital where an autopsy revealed the baby was suffocated after being born in the home.
Seudat was arraigned on Saturday, April 2 at First District Court in Hempstead.
