A New Hyde Park man recently won $10,000 playing Powerball.
New Hyde Park resident Danny Corona picked four numbers and the Powerball correctly in the April 25 Powerball drawing to take a third-place prize, according to the New York State Lottery.
Corona purchased his winning ticket at Kapil at 29-20 Ditmars Blvd. in Astoria.
The winning numbers were 4, 25, 29, 34, 43 and Powerball number 29.
Corona was one of six Powerball winners on April 25. The odds of winning the third place prize were one in 648,976.
