NHP Wildcats offer special needs soccer

The Island Now

The New Hyde Park Wildcats Soccer club offers the opportunity for children with special needs to participate in soccer.  TOP Soccer (The Outreach Program) is open to any athlete that cannot participate in our intramural program.*

The club’s practices are held on Saturday mornings beginning Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.  The practices are held at:

The Center Street Elementary School at 240 Center Street in Williston Park.

The club’s coaches and helpers run warm-ups, soccer drills, and games (which are divided according to skill and age) and of course we hope that the athletes have fun and enjoy themselves in participating in the sport of soccer.

If you are interested, or need more information, please contact Mary Jo Bursig-mjsbursig@aol.com or 516 437-5958.  Please visit our web site at nhpwildcats.org

There is no fee and the athlete will be provided with a uniform but the club asks the players to provide their own cleats (or sneakers) and shin guards.
