Obama critics need to get over it

The Island Now

In the most recent issue of this paper, as I began reading the weekly letter from Elizabeth Berney saying something constructive relating to the cooperation of the community during hurricane Sandy, I was beginning to feel disappointed.

However that only lasted about one paragraph, so she did not fail me.  As usual, she got right into her criticism of President Obama.  This is somewhat tragic, since she obviously can’t accept the fact he was re-elected.  I say to her :Get over it and move on.  Your going to live with it for four more years so instead of being divisive I suggest you write about cooperation between the parties to resolve the important issues facing the country.

I wonder did it ever occur to Ms. Berney that her weekly anti-Obama dissertations eventually become boring and more boring and in fact influence people to think just the opposite of her views.  I am inclined to think because of her weekly diatribes, it actually drove some people to vote for the president who might not have done so otherwise.  I quote the phrase from Shakespeare’s Hamlet “The Lady Doth Protest Too Much.”

As to Stephen Morris, and his weekly verbal nonsense, I apply the above comments to him as well.  Perhaps he and Ms. Berney should set up a hot line between them so they can commiserate together over Romney’s loss, denigrate the president, criticize the Democrats and everything else they can think of, whenever the mood strikes them.  This week he went after the NY Times, I can only wonder what’s next, maybe it will be the “Dentist’s Monthly”  assuming there is such a publication.

To both Berney and Morris, the fact is the Democrat’s won more seats in the Senate, Congress, and numerous other elected positions throughout the country, so accept it and stop your senseless dribble every week.
