Now that the campaign is really heating-up, I was recently reminded that I just better put on my seat belt, we’re in for a really bumpy ride.
I have learned to expect the mudslinging. But it’s the hypocrisy and the media’s double standard that is still hard for me to swallow.
1- Not making Romney’s tax records public is criticized by the left, but not making any of Obama’s college, law school or Bar Association records public is okay? Really?
2- Progressives condemn Romney’s outsourcing of jobs as a cost-cutting plan in companies that he was trying to save, but outsourcing of jobs in Obama’s alternate energy companies are OK. Really?
3- It was so bad when Romney said something inappropriate about the London Olympics, but it’s perfectly fine for Obama to disrespect Israel’s Prime Minister and the Dali Lama. Get the picture?”
Perhaps no where could hypocrisy be more obvious than in the Massachusetts Senatorial race. The stakes couldn’t be higher. Control of the senate may depend on Republican Scott Brown retaining his seat in this Democratic state .
What’s the hypocrisy? Well, his opponent, Liz Warren, the darling of the left, wants your votes, even though most of her credentials have proven to be totally fabricated as well as ignored by the media.
1- She claimed to come from Oklahoma’s dust-bowl poverty-stricken, when, in reality, she drove an MG in high school and only recently, traded in her BMW 528i for a Ford hybrid, just before the campaign began.
2- She claimed to be a foe of foreclosures and “house flipping” yet it came to light that in 1993 she bought a home for $30,000 and then flipped it,five months later for $145,000.
3- She bragged that she “crafted the intellectual foundation for Occupied Wall Street” and would protect us from the evils of capitalism, but then we found out that she actually obtained huge donations from numerous liberal Wall Street backers.
4- And, of course, the biggest lie of all, her claim to be of native-American Indian heritage turned out to be totally not substantiated! The fact that she has also used this claim to her advantage at the diversity-conscious, Harvard Law School didn’t seem to bother any of her Progressive friends.
Where is the mainstream media? Many of you may be hearing this for the first time.
I have always felt that the Kennedy-Nixon election was the dirtiest election in my lifetime .
I suspect I may now have a new No. 1.
